"THIS SITE IS FOR ALL THE STARVIN' ARTISTS LIKE MYSELF WHO DO THIS MUSIC THING FOR THE LOVE OF IT AND WONT EVER STOP."
Out of the Middle East, aka the DC Metropolitan area, comes the soloist Seed--a hip-hop artist, lyricist and performer.
Originally from the motherland, Seed was quick to grasp and identify with rap music soon after his feet touched American soil in 1980. It was then that Seed developed a tightly knit bond between himself and hip hop culture. "My music is my diary, my outlet, my expression."
Seed describes his music as an intimate invitation into his multifaceted mindstate. "I am not a one-dimensional being and i refuse to let my music depict me as one."
A strong believer in the balance of emotion and entertainment in music, Seed notes AZ, Nas, LL Cool J, 2Pac(RIP), and Mary J. Blige as some of his musical influences.
Locally, Seed is recognized for his impressive freestyle skills, which is just one of his many strong points. As a member of the Freestyle Union, Seed has gained a reputation for having star quality. Seed has performed in major label showcases including one for CEO of Bystorm Entertainment and former manager of the lateNotorious B.I.G., Mark Pitts. And you may have seen Seed shinin' in the new season of BET's Rap City, displayin' his freestyle skills.
"I'm in the pursuit of happiness and it's just a matter of time before I'm happy."
